AALEA-NCR Scholarship and NAPOA Conference Assistance
Good morning and happy St. Patrick's day to all,
Since the beginning of my term as your President at the end of 2016, I have placed an emphasis on providing benefits to our membership base and cementing our association as a 501(c)(3) organization. It is with these emphasis that i am honored that the Asian American Law Enforcement Association of the National Capital Region (AALEA-NCR) is introducing the 2018 AALEA-NCR Scholarship and the National Asian Peace Officers' (NAPOA) Conference Assistance program.
AALEA-NCR Scholarship - with the concept of inclusion of both AALEA-NCR members and community members, AALEA-NCR will award $1,000 to selected AALEA-NCR member (immediate family members are also eligible) and $500 to selected nonmember.
NAPOA Conference Assistance Program - with the understanding that not all jurisdiction is fortunate to have their attendance funded by their respective agencies. AALEA-NCR members may apply to have their registration fee of $350 covered by AALEA-NCR. The awarded recipient will also be paired with an attending AALEA-NCR member to help lower cost for room / board.
Thank you to members of the Executive Board for their work and making these two programs a reality and thank you all for your continue support of AALEA-NCR's missions. I am proud and privileged to have this opportunity to lead this family of law enforcement professionals.
